Internshipfest

Great post. I've been considering applying for admission in 2010, and I found your comments very helpful. Are the internships located all over the country? I'd imagine so, but figured I'd ask...
One more question... do you pick the SM degree or is it set? I read one site that gave me the impression you picked it, but I'm looking for details on what options there are, etc. Any input would be great.
The internships are located all over the country and the world. This year about 10 of the 50 were international, 5 were local to Cambridge, and the rest were all over the country (a large amount are on the west coast).
You have the choice of the SM degrees listed on the LFM website. Most of the programs are pretty flexible about who they let in (there is an LFM with an undergrad in electrical doing chemical with me) but there are a few who are picky. I believe biological is picky.
